Ben Bretz is the co-founder of Twin Rivers Advisors and a seasoned financial professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning institutional capital markets and personal wealth management. He began his career in capital markets on an institutional equity trading desk, where he and Hunter worked side by side. Ben rose through the ranks in trading, gaining a deep understanding of market structure, execution strategy, and investor behavior. His transition into private wealth management was driven by a desire to bring the same level of clarity, discipline, and strategic insight to individuals, families, and business owners.
Ben holds a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning and has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ (AWMA®) designations, reflecting his commitment to holistic, client-centered advice.
A graduate of Trinity Episcopal School and Randolph-Macon College, where he earned a degree in Business and Economics, Ben lives in Blackstone, Virginia, with his wife, Katie, and their four children. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, outdoor activities, and quality time with his family. Active in his community, Ben serves on the board of the Blackstone Rotary International Club, is a member of the finance committee at his church, sings in the choir, and volunteers as a youth sports coach for his children’s teams.
